Basket Weaving Workshop with Michele Morcos at Koskela

Oh what a lovely and civilised morning we had last week. Colour? Check. Inspiration? Check. Good company? Check. Yummy tea? Check. New skills learned? Check. A wonderful morning, wish I could rewind and do it all again. Thanks lovely tiny!

p.s  the last 6 shots are of Michele's completed work that she brought along to show us. They're so beautiful and for sale via here. The first picture is what I managed to produce in 2 hours... these little beauties do take a while to make.

Spider Web Tree Party

We had a spider themed birthday party for Jona a few weeks ago and the sun was pouring down while we had a little party under the umbrella of a beautiful fig tree. I made about 15 Ojos de Dios mobiles as spider webs and we suspended them from the branches. Some had pompom spiders as residents.

This was the spider on the cake that disappeared rather quickly before I got a chance to take a photo of it.

This is our party tree. I think it would be nice to hold Jona's party again there in future years, I like having a party tree.

But this one was just right...

Jona had the pleasure of playing on the set of the very talented Stylist, Vanessa Colyer Tay's photoshoot for kids chairs in Inside Out magazine Sept/Oct 2012 issue. He eventually settled in for a story on a yellow Acapulco kids chair. Good choice Jona! Here's more of these beauties -

And have you seen these chairs revealed at this years Salone del Mobile by Marni?  !!
